2002 Volkswagen Jetta
SEE ALSO: Volkswagen Buyer's Guide
For 2002, VW put a bit more jet in its Jetta via the turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 30 extra horsepower for a total of 180. Thus this little quickster is even quicker - and still handles great, giving you clear and present feedback without becoming corse or uncomfortable. They also improved their bumper-to-bumper warranty doubling it to 4-year/50,000-miles. Other additions include an on/off switch for auto-dimming rearview mirrors. We applaud manual over-rides for all automated systems! The ride in the Jettas are worth the money - a nice solid feel - a real drivers car. It's also a well equipped vehicle with class-leading safety items such as four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, front side-mounted airbags, front and rear head airbags and front seatbelt pre-tensioners, seat-height adjustment for both front seats, heated outside mirrors, an AM/FM cassette stereo and a micron cabin filter. Its a cool little jewel - for the young, or young at heart. - Editor |
